Spring Greens

For a week now here in eastern Wisconsin, I have been watching the greenies grow.
Particularly the three specific ones in this video.

Nettles, garlic mustard, leeks. The young plants are so innocently gorgeous and yummy.

Tradition dictates that we pick some, stir-fry them, and enjoy the fresh flavors. We give them a place of honor in our little Japanese dishes and enjoy them as a side to the stir fry I made of peppers, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, ground chicken, zucchini, and a little leftover Chinese sausage, then plopped on rice.

The daffodils are for your viewing pleasure. Welcome spring!
