How much do you pay in Taxes?

It's not really this bad it's only 75%!

Here is an interesting article on  The Real-World Middle Class Tax Rate: 75%. I find it interesting as over the years I have run the figures a number of times for different people and scenarios and come up with similar figures. Yes, each individual is different but no matter if it is 25% or 90%, you need to figure that into your spending plan. Too many people think if they earn $100 they have a $100 to spend. That's why they run into financial problems.
The report, Cost of Government Day, shows that Americans will work 88 days to pay for federal spending; 40 days for state and local spending; and 69 days for total regulatory costs.

The Frugal Prosumer understands that taxes are their biggest expense in life and when they seek to reduce expenses they know this is one of the first places to look.
  • The Supreme court now validates what I have always said. Health Insurance is a tax.
  • A lot of taxes are now called “fees”.
  • Inflation is another subtle form of tax that the government uses.

Please remember taxes are not like the rest of the law where you are innocent until proven guilty. With taxes you are guilty until you prove you are innocent.
